- Place a bid for a little bit over the current bid. You will be notified by email if someone outbids you.
- If you should get outbid that means other people want that item too. Now is the time to make a bid for the highest amount that you are willing to pay. Don't worry, you will only pay the amount that would make you the highest bidder, not the maximum amount you bid.
- If you get outbid at this point then ask yourself just how much you want the item. Don't make the error of getting caught up in a bidding frenzy - you'll probably end up buying it for more than you really wanted.
